To create timeless handmade pieces through sustainable practices of the 4R-rule:
- Reduce: We design thoughtfully to minimize waste, using only what we need and choosing sustainable materials wherever possible.
- Reuse: We give new life to materials by repurposing fabrics and yarns, turning them into beautiful, wearable pieces.
- Recycle: We embrace recycling by transforming discarded or unused materials into something valuable and elegant.
- Repair: We encourage longevity by offering pieces that can be repaired, refreshed, and worn for years, not just seasons.
We do this to blend simplicity with quiet elegance through Afro-inspired methods and crochet techniques.
My Story
Reachel Crafty Stitches has its roots as a simple beginning: at just three years old, Reachel began playing with sticks and banana fibers, creating small crochet chains, long before understanding the word “design”. What started as a childhood curiosity grew into a deep appreciation for craftmaship and intentional design.
Today, we are here to focus on slow, sustainable kind of fashion where every piece is carefully handmade to embrace elegance, simplicity, natural textures and timeless forms.
As the current trend is fast fashion, Reachel Crafty Stitches is here to offer something different: garment made with patience, to serve sustainable purposes, and respect for the delicate production process.
Experience & Education
I have been a textile designer and crochet Artist since many years ago, creating garment and accessories for adults and kids in my little free time and doing repairs in my neighbourhood. While working in a variety of jobs through my life, and recently parenting, I’ve been building experience in customised creations, restyling of wedding/partying dresses.
I have worked as a specialist in tailoring in Intermezzo/Malltex, SA (Terrassa, Catalonia), with usage of industrial sewing machines, material preparation, and precise measurements and cutting. I have also worked as a bridal dress tailor in the prestigious workshops of Rosa Clarà (Barcelona).
